Scholarships

With funding made available by the AANAPISI grant, Highline will be instituting the Jump Start Scholarship. This scholarship will provide critical financial support for ESL students as they transition from ESL instruction to college credit courses. Currently, less than 15% of ESL students transition into college courses, and the significant change in tuition is a huge barrier. Students eligible for the Jump Start Scholarship will have 100% of their first quarter of college level classes tuition covered. During that first quarter, AAPI-SOS staff will work with these students on applying for federal and state financial aid so that funding is in place by the second term.

ABOUT THE AANAPISI SCHOLARSHIP

The Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Scholarship Program is a collaboration with AANAPISI’s and the communities we serve to provide scholarships, expand institutional capacity and mobilize local resources to help foster economic development. The AANAPISI Scholarship is available annually to students attending APIA Scholars. AANAPISI partner campuses across the United States.
